07042010481LTS 3000 vessel belong to Sapura Crest and Indian based company. The catering services is provided by Sodexo (M) Sdn Bhd. As part of the client requirement for food hygiene and safety standard,  BJ from licence2halal.com  was send to conduct the Food Handler Training for the catering crew inside the vessel at ASL Shipyard in Singapore. Maintaining the safety standard all the time is very critical for the LTS 3000 crews including the catering crew the prevent any risk of food contamination and food poisoning.070420104911 To prevent food poisoning we must identify the risk of contamination. It can come from 3 sources - Biological, Chemical and Physical. These are the highlight during the food handler training. The human error is one of the most common factor contributed to the food contamination. Therefore the individual personal hygiene practice together with the team work that are discipline to maintain the hygiene standard all the time is very critical.07042010478 By understanding the source of food contamination the catering crew will have a better understanding on methods of preventing them. This will involve the hygiene issues on premise, system, equipment, garbage and pest management. The training is important to be basic, zooming on the “do’s and dont’s” of the food handler when they are handling the food. This together with repeat training from time to time will maintain and improve food hygiene and safety standard. Halal Certification for Haribo Turkey

0932Haribo, one of Europe’s biggest sweet manufacturer selling its product in more than 150 countries since 1920. In Istanbul, Turkey the product produce by Pamir Gida Sanayi. The company have send their request for Halal Certification to us through our website www.licence2halal.com. The two products to be certified halal are - Jelly Fruitgums and Moeshmallow.  According to their General Manager, Hakan Zor this is to cater to their muslims customers. They have used halal certified gelatine.  Haribo Turkey was also certified Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC) and International Food Standard (IFS). Once documents received was processed and successfully  gone through desk audit by our Food Technologist and Halal Supervisor, we have made site visit to audit the factory in Hadimkoy-Istanbul-Turkey in February 2010. The site audit is compulsary pre-halal certification requirement. We was impressed with the commitment showed by Mr Zor together with his team of Production Manager, Abdullah Ugur Sahbaz and Quality Assurance  Manager, Gulsah Yalcin in establishing food safety standard in their factory.092The site audit was accompany by both Production and Quality Assurance Manager.  The main objective was to confirm that their factory was halal compliance. We was looking  into the whole  production process which included the visit to Raw Material Storage area, Production Area and looking into related documents. We was inform that HACCP committee was overseeing all the food safety related issues.  After the completion of the site audit visit, we compile all the information collected for our records purposes. All finding and recommendation was discussed and among the recommendation made was for them to establish Halal Committe  together with their existing HACCP committee.  As a result of this, Pamir Gida Sanayi was successfully certified Halal. 050

 

We would like to congratulate them in particular Mr Hakan Zor together with his team for their commitment in Halal and Food Safety Standard. We hope to meet them again next year as part of our yearly site audit for Halal Certification. Assalamulaikum &  Salam Sejahtera

Seperti yang diketahui oleh ramai pengusaha perniagaan berasas makanan (kilang/restoran/kafe/hotel/kantin sekolah etc) program Latihan Pengendali Makanan (LPM/Food Handler Course) telah mula dilaksanakan sejak 1996 bersempena dengan Sukan Komanwel 1998. Tujuan utamanya ialah untuk mengelakkan kejadian keracunan makanan (food poisoning).

Syarikat kami Tenggara Dermaga telah diiktiraf oleh Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM)  sebagai sebuah sekolah latihan pengendali Makanan (SLPM) yang ditugaskan untuk mengendalikan program latihan pengendali makanan (LPM/Food Handler Course) dan telah terlibat dalam program ini sejak tahun 2004. Kami kekal aktif walaupun sambutan kursus ini banyak bergantung kepada proses penguatkuasaan (enforcement) oleh Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT/Municipal Council) yang berkenaaan seperti MBPJ,DBKL,MPK dan terutamanya ketika permohonan baru Lesen Premis Perniagaan.pict0641 

Keadaan ini akan berubah kerana pada 28 Februari 2009, Peraturan Kebersihan Makanan (PKM) 2009 telah diwartakan dan dijangka akan dilaksanakan sepenuhnya pada tahun 2010. Antara yang terkandung didalam PKM 2009 ini ialah;

  • Setiap Pengendali Makanan (Food Handler) wajib menghadiri Latihan Pengendali Makanan (Food Handler Course) daripada institusi latihan yang diiktiraf oleh Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (Ministry of Health)
  • Jika tidak menjalani latihan atau tidak memiliki sijil latihan ,boleh denda tidak melebihi RM 10,000.00 atau dipenjara tidak melebihi dua (2) tahun.

Kami sering ditanya, siapakah yang perlu hadir kursus ini? Jawapannya ialah semua Pengendali Makanan.

Jadi siapakah pengendali makanan?(Who is Food Handler?): Pengendali Makanan termasuklah mana-mana orang yang terlibat secara langsung dalam penyediaan makanan;menyentuh makanan atau permukaan yang menyentuh makanan;mengendali makanan berbungkus atau tidak dibungkus,atau perkakas dalam mana-mana premis makanan(food premise).food-hygiene2

Food premise(Premis makanan):means premises used for or in connection with the preparation,preservation,packaging,storage,conveyance,distribution or sale of any food, or the relabelling, reprocessing or reconditioning of any food. (Malaysian Food Act 1983(Act 281) & regulations)

Kami telah diarahkan oleh KKM dalam taklimat pada Khamis 2 April 2009 untuk menjalankan kursus dengan kadar segera bagi menyokong penguatkuasaan peruntukan dibawah PKM 2009. Sebagai SLPM kami akan mengeluarkan Sijil Latihan kepada pengendali makanan yang telah menghadiri kursus dan data kehadiran kursus akan dikemukakan kepada Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri atau Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan.pict0689

 

Sebagai menyokong PKM 2009 kearah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesedaran pengendali makanan dan seterusnya menurunkan risiko kejadian penyakit bawaan makan dan air kami kami akan menjalankan kursus dengan dua (2) kaedah, Ini adalah untuk memberikan kemudahan (convinient and hassle-free) kepada pelanggan kami (our customer);

Website kami telah dilancarkan pada 22 Januari 2009 semasa perjumpaan mingguan BNI United Chapter. Alfatihah untuk Bonda Hjh Timah Binti Hj Alam yang telah kembali ke Rahmatullah sehari selepas pelancaran website iaitu pada hari Jumaat 23 Januari 2009 dan Ayahanda Hj Jaafar yang juga telah kembali ke Rahmatullah lebih awal pada hari Jumaat 10 Ogos 1990. Segala kebaikan diri saya datangnya dari Allah melalui mereka berdua.
